Last updated: 15 Jun 2026 · Operator: JobSonr, NSW, Australia · Contact: help@jobsonr.com

Note: a business with annual turnover < AUD $3M may be exempt from the Privacy Act, but we choose to follow the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) as good practice and because we handle sensitive information.

1. Scope

This policy explains how we handle personal information when you use JobSonr (jobsonr.com).

2. What we collect

  • Account data: your name and email (via Google sign-in or an email one-time passcode).
  • Content you submit: job descriptions and your resume, which may contain sensitive information (e.g. work history, education, and anything you choose to include). Only submit what you're comfortable sharing.
  • Usage data: basic logs (e.g. requests, counts) to run quotas and improve the Service.
  • Payment data: handled by Stripe. We do not store your full card number.

Billing & cancellation: To cancel or request a refund, use Pricing → Manage billing (Stripe portal) → Cancel subscription, or email help@jobsonr.com (see Terms §7–8).

3. How we use your information

To: create and secure your account; analyse your resume against a job description and generate your report, rewrites and cover letters; enforce plan limits; process payments; provide support; and meet legal obligations.

4. AI processing — and no model training

To generate your results we send your job description and resume to our AI processor, Anthropic (Claude), via its API. Anthropic does not use API data to train its models, and we do not use your data to train any AI model.

5. Who we share it with (and overseas processing)

We share data only with service providers that help us run the Service, under their terms:

  • Anthropic (AI processing) — United States
  • Stripe (payments) — overseas, incl. United States
  • Supabase (authentication & database) — Sydney (ap-southeast-2)
  • Vercel (hosting) — overseas
  • Google (Analytics) (site traffic analytics) — overseas, incl. United States

Because of this, your information may be processed and stored overseas, including in the United States. By using the Service you consent to this cross-border disclosure. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account and content anytime at help@jobsonr.com; we will delete it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain some records (e.g. tax/payment records).

7. Security

We use measures including encryption in transit, access controls and database row-level security so each user can only access their own data. No system is 100% secure.

8. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing help@jobsonr.com. (Under the APPs you have rights to access and correct your information.)

9. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies — including Google Analytics and Google Ads tags — to measure how JobSonr is used and to improve our service. These analytics and advertising cookies are enabled by default. You can decline them at any time from the cookie banner; declining stops non-essential analytics and advertising cookies, while the essential cookies needed to run the site remain. You can also change your choice at any time via 'Cookie preferences' in the footer.
