Terms of Service

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms govern your use of JobSonr (the "Service") at jobsonr.com, operated by JobSonr ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your location) to use the Service.

3. Accounts

You sign in with Google or a one-time passcode (OTP) sent to your email (no password). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Tell us at help@jobsonr.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

4. What the Service does

JobSonr analyses a job description and a resume you provide and returns an AI-generated match report (match score, requirement/skill/experience analysis, gaps, an estimated salary range, and a predicted visa-sponsorship likelihood), and — on paid plans — AI-generated resume rewriting and cover-letter drafts. Features, limits and pricing depend on your plan and may change.

5. Your content, and outputs

  • Your inputs. You keep all rights to the job descriptions, resume and other content you submit ("Inputs"). You confirm you are allowed to submit them (e.g. it is your own resume, or you have permission).
  • Outputs. To the extent we hold any rights in the reports, rewrites and other results the Service generates for you ("Outputs"), we assign them to you. You are responsible for how you use Outputs.
  • Licence to operate. You grant us a limited licence to process your Inputs and Outputs solely to provide and support the Service (including sending them to our AI processor — see Privacy Policy).
  • No model training. We do not use your Inputs or Outputs to train AI models. Our AI processor (Anthropic) does not train its models on data sent through its API.

6. AI outputs — important disclaimer

The Service uses AI and its outputs can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Match scores, estimated salaries and visa-sponsorship predictions are indicative, for general information only, and are not professional career, recruitment, financial, migration or legal advice. We do not guarantee any job, interview, offer, salary or visa outcome. Verify anything important independently and seek a qualified professional (e.g. a registered migration agent for visa matters) before relying on it.

7. Subscriptions, fees and payment

  • Plans. Free, Light, Plus and Max. Paid plans are billed in USD through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices and inclusions are shown at checkout.
  • Auto-renewal. Paid plans automatically renew each billing period and we charge your payment method until you cancel. You agree to this recurring charge at checkout.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel anytime by opening the Pricing page, clicking Manage billing to launch the Stripe customer portal, then selecting Cancel subscription; or by emailing help@jobsonr.com. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the current paid period.
  • Extra credits. Extra resume-rewrite credits are prepaid and non-transferable.
  • Price changes. We may change prices; we will give notice before a change applies to your next renewal, and you can cancel to avoid it.

8. Refunds

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable (including for unused quota). This does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see §11). For a refund request, contact help@jobsonr.com and we will assess it. To stop auto-renewal, use either cancellation path in §7: Pricing → Manage billing → Stripe customer portal → Cancel subscription, or email help@jobsonr.com.

9. Acceptable use

Don't: break the law; upload another person's personal information without their consent; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the Service; resell the Service; or use it to harass or deceive. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

10. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties including Anthropic (Claude AI), Stripe (payments), Supabase (auth/database), Vercel (hosting) and Google (Analytics). Your use may also be subject to their terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

11. Disclaimers & liability — and your Australian Consumer Law rights

  • ACL savings clause (read first). Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other law that cannot be lawfully excluded. Where we are entitled to limit liability under the ACL, our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of re-supply.
  • Subject to the above, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without other warranties, and to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

12. Indemnity

You agree to cover reasonable losses we incur from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service, except to the extent caused by us.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service anytime. We may suspend or end access for breach, legal reasons, or if we discontinue the Service.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we will post the new version and update the date, and material changes take effect on your next renewal or continued use.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of NSW, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that State.
